Classroom
Ratios
AGAPE offers excellent adult to child ratios. Our maximum enrollment
for 2-year-olds is eight per class, for 3-year-olds ten per class, and
for 4-year-olds twelve per class
and for
pre-k fourteen per class. Every class has two adults present each day.
About
Co-op
Parents are asked to participate in their children’s education by
assisting in the preschool classroom. Because of this arrangement,
parents have first-hand knowledge of their children’s educational
experience.
Each
class has a consistent lead teacher and one parent helper on a given
morning. Parents also make up the operational board of the preschool
and are asked to attend meetings several times a year.
Curriculum
AGAPE provides interdenominational, Bible-based teaching that helps
children begin to understand how precious they are to their Creator.
Our curriculum is packed with learning experiences that lead children
to discover the world around them and challenge them to grow
intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Our
program includes playtime, story and worship time, music, crafts,
games, outdoor play, science, library, creative movement, and much
more. We believe that children learn best through discovery and fashion
our lessons accordingly.
FAQs
Q: How do I know whether to put my child in an “older”
or “younger” class?
A: We will decide which class your child belongs in, based on final
enrollment.
Q: What is pre-k, and how is it different?
A: Pre-k is a new 5-day offering this year, designed for children who
could (or almost could) go to kindergarten, but have chosen to spend an
extra year preparing. There will be a full-time aide and a certified
teacher leading the class to make it a true kindergarten prep
experience. Parents will be welcome to participate in other ways.
Q: When are applications due?
A: To guarantee a spot for next fall, you must apply by December 18th.
Current students and their siblings have priority until that date.
(Remember that your first choice spot may go quickly, so register
early!)
Q: What if I have friends who want to sign up?
A: Applications will be accepted immediately, but not considered until
after December 18th.
Q: Can I still opt out of co-op?
A: Yes, and the charge will still be $25 per occurrence.
Q: When will tuition be due?
A: The first month’s tuition will be due, as a deposit, by Feb. 1st to
hold your spot(s). The remainder of the tuition will be due bimonthly,
beginning in September.
